Areas we have some breaking changes
With the main release version 2021 - we completely revised the UI based on new 3rd party UI library - this was necessary because some of the used controls / libraries weren't supported/updated anymore and we had some customer wishes that we couldn't implement anymore. Technically .NET 5 will be the next main release of the .NET framework and we need to replace these components to be able to migrate in near future.
- Docking - complete new docking - with pinning tabs, better overview of opened tabs and some more minor changes...
- Toolbars - complete customization of toolbars possible - create, modify or remove toolbars as you prefer - no limits anymore
- More modern design of the used UI controls onside the whole application
- New Skins to customize the look and feel of the application
- Using of vector images instad of icons and bitmaps to prevent possible scaling issues on high dpi monitors
- Out of the box searching, grouping, sorting, simple and complex filter customization in all logs and the navigation tree
- Features that were removed: Migration of 2012 environment, Poderosa support
Areas that need your attention
- Existing custom icons must be replaced by vector images (svg files) - there is a possible migration implemented to use old ID's for new images - custom generated svg graphics (specify text and color) are also implemented
- Existing layouts can't be used anymore and must be replaced
- Existing views can't be used anymore and must be replaced by new functionallity
- Find window was removed - everything can be done in Navigation itself - simple or complex filter, customization of visible attributes
- Standard icons were replaced by new svg images (vector images) - so look and feel of most areas have changed
- Shortcut "DEL" was replaced by "CTRL+DEL" to prevent side effects with any other controls

Other minor improvements
- New global connection setting => DoubleClick Action
- New setting for connection folder => Connect via "Destination / IP"
- New command line option - /excludeids<Guid>,<Guid>,... to exclude sync items when using option /syncid:all
- New paramater for CmdLet NewRDBaseItemImportCsv - DeleteOption
- Custom Fields now also available for credentials
- Custom Fields (Credentials) can be set to KeePass fields by sync options
Known Issues (still in progress)
- When undocking a SSH connection it is docked again and need to be dragged again

We are happy to announce that we work on a new Major Release for ASG-RD!
It's planned to be released in early Q2 this year if all goes well ;-).
ASG-RD 2021 will include a completely revised UI, based on new third party libaries that will make ASG-RD future proof.
It will shine in a more modern design, extended user customizability, new docking functionality and better working toolbar customization.
Any customer with valid license at the time of release will be eligible to use the new Main Release :-)

If you have already installed any ASG-RD 2020 version you need to close your application and then install the new version. You don't need to uninstall your old version. Caution - Migration of datasource necessary - for all versions older than 2019 - older clients can still connect to the upgraded database.
