Security groups and user administration
#1
Hi guys,

we've deployed ASG as a pretty central tool for our technicians and I'm one of the admins in our deployment, I just have a request for a future release.
As we've started using ASG our user count is slowly increasing and I've found the user administration part for ASG a bit lacking.
We do not have control over our corporate active directory and therefore have no way to for example add single users to a AD-group for access in ASG, we have to add individual users manually (which works totally fine).

What I would love to see is:

* a bit more functionality in regards to the Security Groups tool, especially a search function, we often have to double check that the user actually has been added for access or not as we have quite a messy proxy setup for access to our customer networks. Currently I have to scroll and read which is a bit cumbersome.
* Some sorting funcionality, especially sorting by the actual AD account name instead of the AD usernames (our AD uses a standard which includes some standard letters but also random numbers). Maybe some sort of filtering (on lastname, username or username for instance).

to try to illustrate our current access structure, we have a few different defined security groups in ASG which gives access to different subfolders in our connection tree. currently it looks like this;

Common - Standard access - > ad.domain.com\username (lastname, firstname)
Common - Restricted access -> ad.domain.com\username (lastname, firstname)

The username and (lastname, firstname) is not possible to sort therefore making it a bit messy and hard to find a specific user, especially if we need to clean and remove access for users.

Thanks for your time and effort on this wonderful product! Smile
