So if logging is set to silently append or overwrite the session will be embedded into the tab normally. But that setting is pure putty.

Thanks Michael. That does seem to have fixed it, but this wasn't an issue with the prior versions for me, only just now with this version even though it carries forward the prior settings, so that's what puzzled me.
