Putty Session Administration

A badge is displayed showing that a timer session is running. It's been there for a long time and refers to an inadvertent timer session. How do I find the session so that I can turn off the timer?

like my colleague I don't know whatyou mean with a "timer session". But if its an ssh session on a linux system just type in "w" (+ RET) in a terminal session on the system to list all open sessions and use "pkill" to end unwanted sessions.
