Properties for Inherited Values not saving

I tried 10 or more time in different ways - never had this issue - select a connection - copy via context menu or using keyboard shortcuts - select the above folder and paste into it - then open properties, switch to credentials - click on Default Values - then no difference if I choose some other credentials or leave it empty - if I click OK this setting is saved and after restart still is active - depending on what I did before "Data exists" or "Not defined" is displayed in category "Default Values"
