I concur with the other users, because the Overview would be a BIG help when performing management or updates on many servers at a time, when you need to monitor the progress.
On the other hand I understand the problem that Thomas describe (he has described it several times before
- thats why I ended up suggesting the current refresh-feature, that cycles through all the tabs to capture screendumps of each tab. And I think it works ok, allthough it would be nice if it was faster. The downside is that it has to activate each tab one-by-one.
I'm pretty sure we have talked about an auto-refresh feature earlier, but don't remember the outcome. I think it might be because the "Refresh thumbnails" feature was implemented late in the process, so there was probably no time for it then.
An Auto-refresh feature would still need to cycle through all the tabs, which means that with may tabs you still loose the overview during the refresh - especially if you have the auto-refresh set very frequent. I don't know if any other RDP controls are available that can overcome this problem.
Anyway, this might sound like a CRAZY idea, but could another possibility be to replace the "static" thumbnail images (that needs refreshing by capturing a screendump of each tab) with downsized (RDP) controls ordered side-by-side?
Then there's no need to refresh them, as it would essentially be like you detached the tabs, downsized them and ordered the windows side-by-side. You would actually be able to click a "live thumbnail" and work in it, allthough with many thumbnails it would probably not be practically possible due to the small size.
I don't know if vRD would be able to handle many RDP controls on a single tab, but it is just an idea. Think about it!

On another note, I have also previously mentioned the possibility to reorder the tabs by re-ordering the thumbnails.
