#1
Hi all

We have problem with private credentials since we did update to 2016.  We are 10 peopble in the IT and one folder we have about 100 computers and each user have private credentials to connect with Dameware.
When one user change the credentials on the top folder it change on all users to None.

Any idea?

Hi Gunnar, can you explain that a bit more detailed please ? You have a folder defined within ASG-RD that contains 100 computers which are handled by 10 users of ASG-RD with 10 different accounts ? And what kind of login do they use ? What do you mean with change the credentials on the "top folder" ? You mean the one folder that contains 100 pc's ? Normally you can set the security level to a group or an account for a folder...with the corresponding consequences for accessing accounts.
By the way: which exact version do you use ?

Michael

In database mode you have several options to set data . e.g. for assigned credentials - at the top of the properties dialog you see "Default values", "Inherited values" and "Personal values"

Default means that this setting applies for all users - Inherit is getting the data from parent object - and personal is for personal use - so your users should set their credentials in the personal settings area - and the selection also means which data is used when connecting. So if you choose inherited values these values will be used also if you have defined default or personal values.

Hope that helps...
