Windows Security Prompt
#1
My computer downloaded the newest update for Windows 10 (1607) and now ASG no longer uses my credentials that I have set up for each folder/connection within ASG?

Has anyone else seen this? Can it be fixed? That is one of the best features of ASG :-(

Hi...thanks for your comment. Unfortunately we have no clue right now what could cause that but there seem to be many problems with the update after a short research in the web. A quick try would be to reimport your credentials - IF you have a backup- to see if that works. Do you work in database mode or filemode ?
best regards,

Its a fresh install of all and the creds and connections were imported from my other machine. I use File Mode.

Well I tried a complete reinstall using Database mode this time and it still is prompting for every connection I try. :-( very frustrating.

I took screenshots of the differences between the two machines I have

My VM is running a previous version of Windows 10
My Laptop is running the Anniversary build 1607 of Windows 10

Both have the same version of ASG though.

Very odd issue.

The Screenshots help very much. :-)

It looks very simple; you missed to configure the roles.
Look at the last entry on your new machine, there you see the item, click on it and you can activate several roles.

But I suggest the easy way:
1. Install ASG-RD (if you did this step already, the text in brackets count)
2. Create a new Environment and klick all the way through
(2a. if you have already one, you have to use 'Environment' - 'Environment Manager' and choose 'Add'
2b. Suggestion: choose a new Name for the Environment and the File, e.g. just add '2'.)
3. on your old working machine go to 'Environment' - 'Export'
4. Choose 'Internal xml structure', safe the file
5. On your machine use the 'Environment' - 'Import'
That's it.

HI Dirk
Your suggestion worked. Which is odd cause I imported from the other machine when I set it up to begin with..

Very weird. but so glad it is working now.
