https connections
#1
I am having issues with ASG-RemoteDesktop 2015 version 8.0.4958.0 and have found that https connections now do not work.  The option to continue to the website has disappeared, please see attached screenshot.

I was able to see a “continue to this website (not recommended)” option before, but this now does not show.

When I open the url in I.E 11 I see the option to continue.

Yes the integrated IE control can not handle these certificate warnings - we also have GeckoFX (Firefox) integrated and there we support an option to ignore these warnings.

Can you set out how I configure this correctly in ASG-RD?

I don't know if you version has all the options - but try to add "http" role for your connection - and configure in http section "Use Firefox/GeckoFX" - and "Ignore certificate warnings" - the Gecko-plugin had also problems in an old version with that configuration - try it - f it is not working you should use a newer version

THanks for this....

I've checked the settings and the only way I can see to get asg to use firefox/gecko is to change settings to

Tools - Settings - User Specific - HTTP/S - Browser Control - default browser control - Firefox/GeckoFX

and

Administration - Default Connection Properties - HTTP/S - General - tick the box for "ignore warnings with GeckoFX2

But even when I have these enabled all I get is an error message, which I click O.K to and then get a grey screen, see attached screenshot for error message

Ok - then any upgrade after your version repaired that - as I told you, there was a bug in GeckoFX that was fixed (I don't know the exact date) and we always try to use the latest GeckoFx component...

I version 2016 it is running well...

But you should also be able to change the settings when you enable "HTTP" role on a connection - there you find the same settings like in Default Connection Settings

We were able to resolve this problem by disabling the "suppress javascript messages" option.
