RD 2016 vs RD 2015 Custom Button actions
#1
ASG RD 2016 (9.0.5385.0) behaves differently than ASG RD 2015 (8.0.4706.1) in how it handles the custom keys on my keyboard and mouse. I currently have both product versions running side by side.  I have custom function keys on the keyboard and extra buttons on the mouse.  These are manage through the Logitech app and are set to various functions.  For example the thumb click button is set to Page-Up, as is a custom button on the keyboard.  In RD 2015, I can click the thumb button while holding down the Alt key to switch between two Windows applications on the remote host, similar to the Alt-Tab functionality.  In RD 2016, the same action does not do anything.  It also does not 'Page up' on a browser or text document.  It seems the two version do not manage these extra buttons the same way.  The custom button on the keyboard with 'Page Up' assigned exhibits the same results between the versions.  If I use the actual 'Page Up' button on the Keyboard when I press Alt, the application switching works.

I think you are using RDP connections - did you compare the settings in RDP category how to use Windows key combinations? Perhaps that also influence to the custom buttons?!? I do not think that we have changed there a lot... But I currently have no custom button app to reproduce

I am using RDP connections, but there are no differences in the settings other than new options the 2016 version adds.  Since no changes have been made on the product side towards this, I decided to uninstall and do a clean installation of 2016.  I had originally imported everything from the 2015 environment, but this time only used an export of my connections and manually configured the Settings, Credentials, etc.  The custom buttons on both the keyboard and mouse are working now.  I am not sure if it is related to importing the settings from 2015 or if the original install did not complete properly.

Thanks for your information.

Ok thanks - seems to be any data corruption in "upgrade/import" - but not easy to reproduce I think - because you have seen the right data, but perhaps it was not used?!?
