ASG on Citrix
#1
Hello -

Our enterprise has installed ASG 2018 on Citrix. An admin of the Citrix server is able to connect to an environment that we created on the Citrix server directly, while a non-admin of the citrix server is not able to connect.

Error: "A connection to your current environment could not be established"

Reading up on this implies that it is a SQL issue with the user not having DBO privileges to the database, but the non-admin user and the admin user are in the same AD group that is tied to the database with DBO privileges. We are trying to scale the system to all non-admin users on the Citrix server.

Can anyone help with this? I don't disagree that it could be a SQL setting, but the test connection to the database is working successfully for all users.

Thanks

In the online help you find a section

Working with environments=>Working in database mode=>Necessary permissions on SQL server instance

Please check if your users are really granted to the SQL database - the connection test currently only check the connectivity to the SQL instance - we will fix that in the next release

Hey @DevOma, we have checked that. Our usergroup is able to get into SSMS as a DBO for our SQL database. It looks like this is a first logon issue from Citrix. If i use the published icon for ASG through Citrix, i am recieving this error over and over, but if i launch the application directly from the Citrix server and try to configure it, it seems to be working.

I will report back here with an update to verify this is the case.
