Trial extension?
#1
Hi, Ive been working with the 2011 version for a few years and management finally agreed to upgrade to the current version, as long as we also move to the SQL rather than SQLExpress.

Ive tested and demo'd the versions for management, and everyone agreed to move to the SQL resources we have at our company.

Since install, I have been working with the SQL dba's to get connections tested and then other groups to allow view access via domain groups, but we are not finished testing and configuring yet.
Is there a chance to get an extended trial, with the holidays coming up, I do not see us finishing all the testing, software packaging, domain group creations in time.
I have 6 days left on my trial as of this AM.
I did find a previous post about >2012 versions to extend the trial by deleting the profile.xml file from the user profile, but the license is in the SQL DB now in 2018 I believe?

Hi,

If you use an database environment (whether SQL or SQL-Express) the license is stored in the database. So because of that if you create a new database a new 30 day trial license is generated for that specific new database !
So you can always extend the trial, however import and export is limited to only 15 objects. But normally for testing that should be sufficient. Hope that helps ;-)
Best regards,
Michael
