Default Values on Settings - General not settable
#1
Hi,

with Version 2019 Patch 1 it is not possible to deactivate the update check or set a default display language, because the button "Default Values" is disabled. In previous versions it was possible to set these values as default values.
A screenshot is attached, I'm in the "Administrators" Group, so my user does have full admin rights.

Hi Tobi,
unfortunately there is no screenshot visible. The setting with only "Personal Values" active for the udpate check seems to be consistent through version 2017-19 for me and I can set it as admin or disable the check through the GUI. Could it be that you have set registry keys manually in a former version to enable/prevent an update check ? If the correct keys are available that overrides the settings.
Best regards,
Michael

I just added a screenshot to my previous post.
Personal Values is settable, I want to set it under "Default Values", so that the environment of every user inherits this setting by default.

It was never an option to set Default Values for "Profile"-category - these values are not stored in the database - these values are in profile.xml and used before the user have access to the database. The only chance is to set some values by RegKeys or if you use a software deployment to roll out the profile.xml file too
