Putty Session Administration
#1
ASG-2019
Version: 12.0.6342.1

Putty Session Configure is used to create a profile for a given server access.  No longer is the saved session available in the "Putty Session Administration" button.  A blank registry window pops up with no saved sessions.  This worked before recently upgrading to the version listed above.

Do you see the Putty sessions in Connection-Properties? In SSH you can select your Putty session to use - is that list empty? Which version did you use before? On my test machines everything seems to be ok...

In the Putty session itself I have configured and saved a session, no problem.  My staff are saying they've done the same in the past and those saved sessions would then be available in the Putty Session Administration....selection button.

We were running 2016 before the upgrade a few weeks back.

Perhaps a restart of ASGRD is missing?!? Perhaps just switch between the 2 radio buttons inside the dialog?!?

In the field above "Session" - you can select the stored sessions - is the stored session in this list (combo box)??? Should be all the same (combo box, Administration dialog and Putty itself)

The drop down along with the pop-up window are blank.  I'm not exactly sure what the registry copy/to from is all about.  I would think the text block is the quick access to stored sessions and the pop-up is meant as a holistic view and area to share stored sessions; as it's described.  Until something is in there, I can't really review it's capabilities.

Can you try to start ASGRD "as Administrator" - because if there are no entries in the DropDown your user can't read the values from registry - but if Putty itself has "stored sessions" it should be there

A badge is displayed showing that a timer session is running. It's been there for a long time and refers to an inadvertent timer session. How do I find the session so that I can turn off the timer?

Timer session inside a Putty session? ASGRD just call Putty.exe - so I don't know how to find a specific Putty session

Hi
like my colleague I don't know whatyou mean with a "timer session". But if its an ssh session on a linux system just type in "w" (+ RET) in a terminal session on the system to list all open sessions and use "pkill" to end unwanted sessions.
