VNC reconnects permanently, when other user is connected
#1
When 2 users are connected via VNC in ASG-RemoteDesktop 2019 to the same client, both get permanent reconnects and it is not possible to work, since one closes his connection.

I havenĀ“t seen this using other vnc client software.
Is this a bug in ASG-RemoteDesktop 2019 Version 12.0.6420.1?

Thanks

Hi fanatic ;-)

I just tried to retrace but I can't see that effect on my machines. I use X11VNC on an Ubuntu machine and configured the VNC server to allow multiple session. Then I can connect with 2 different users on the same host by VNC with authentication activated. Both sessions allow interactions and run totally stable at the same time. But tested with the latest development version. Will retest with 2019p4 that you seem to use.

Okey also with 2019p4 no problems. What kind host and VNC server do you use ? Have you checked the config of the VNC server allowing multiple sessions ?
Since we use a specific VNC module maybe that does not perfectly harmonize with your specific VNC server. There are so many flavours out there and not everyone works well with your setup.
But it's always possible to use any external VNC Client configured as external application. So that's an option too :-)

Thanks for your quick answer Michael,

I am using multiple sessions with UltraVNCServer 1.2.1.7 on Windows Server with UltraVNCViewer 1.2.2.4 on Windows without any problems with my settings.
Now with ASG RemoteDesktop I ran into this problem.

I checked the settings and found
- Multi viewer connections
set to
-- Disconnect all existing connections
which seems not to be used while connecting with UltraVNCViewer.

After changing it to
-- Keep existing connections
I got rid of the permanent disconnects and can work and show content to colleagues.

Thanks for your hint
