LDAP secure by microsoft - impact on ASG RD?
#1
Hello, AD team in my company is planning to secure LDAP connection on Microsoft solution:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help...or-windows

Now AD team asked if ASG RD system need LDAP connection or not.

My ASG RD version is 2018, with 11.0.5924.0; back-end is SQL server standard 64bit 2016 managed by SQL team

And users use their AD account to login ASG-RD, that I organized users in different AD groups for different SQL server database, for different ASG RD configuration.

Could anyone help to check?

Thanks.

Questionnaire as below:

To identify which applications are already set to Secure LDAP (LDAPS), which are still missing, and which ones might need a special treatment, we need every System Lead to provide this information via a table; the columns we need the System lead to answer/fulfil are the following:

1- Use of LDAP: Does your application use LDAP protocol? [Yes/No]
*if the answer is “No”, no more actions are needed!

2- Type LDAP: what type of LDAP protocol is being used?
[LDAPS (Secure)/LDAP(secure)/LDAP(Insecure)]

3- Secure LDAP supported?: [Yes/No]

4- Re-configuration Date?: when is LDAP set form non secure to secure? [Date]

5- Exception required?: if there no chance to set up LDAP in secure mode, the application will have to be included in the Exception List. [Yes/No]

6- Exception Justification: if the application needs to be included as exception a valid justification is needed. [Text]

7- Consultancy needed?: do you need any consultancy session with the LDAP responsible from your tower? [Mail]

We have tested Secure AD with current version - and it is working without any effects - so it should also run with version 2018
