#1
Hi

- Created a personal credential
- MultiEdit Childs on a folder to make the credential default
- Credentials - General
Default values
* Set Usage -Default
*Credentials - (here is where I usually choose the created credential but it is greyed out)

Any idea?

Hi,
which version do you use ? Just tried with version 2020 P1 ...works as it should. I can assign a personal cred to a folder by multiedit as admin.

First - why you set the creds by MultiEdit - you should use the "Inherited values" - so just set the creds on a folder and all sub objects to use "Inherited values" - that store less data and males it easier to modify later

Your issue could be missing permissions? Do you work in database mode with Permissions? Than you should check - else it should work (and it does for me)

Hi

It works as it should for me, but this issue is for a specific user with access to only a specific folder.

I use lastest version and MS SQL DB

Inherited values is greyed out - even for me as admin!?

So it seems to be a permission problem - if a user only has access to this specific folder

First to check - "Allow MultiEdit" in Security Group - but I guess that this is enabled
Second - on the specific folder / connections - check Security => Set assigned credentials / Set assigned default credentials

Or is the user able to set these values directly on the connection but not with MultiEdit? More details can always help us to find the issue

Allow MultiEdit is allowed on the group

Ok you told that already - so this image don't tell me anything new - and I asked you also to check the security of the folder/connections where the user is not able to multi-edit - what's about that?

I asked the following

First to check - "Allow MultiEdit" in Security Group - but I guess that this is enabled
Second - on the specific folder / connections - check Security => Set assigned credentials / Set assigned default credentials

Or is the user able to set these values directly on the connection but not with MultiEdit? More details can always help us to find the issue

And you only answered only the first question!

Ok - and is "Edit" on the credential objects allowed? Can the user edit these settings when not using Multi-Edit?

Sorry, not the credential folder - the connections where you want to set the creds :-) Where you are not able to set your values...

And please tell me also if the user can set the values if not using MultiEdit?!? If not missing permission will be the reason

Yes it is - didn't noticed that you allow Private objects!

But again - please answer also second question - can the user edit these settings without MultiEdit????

Can I see a screenshot of the dialog in MultiEdit mode?
