Upgrade from 2019 to 2020 and lost all my connections
#1
I installed ASG 2020, but I still have ASG 2019 installed. It updated my roaming to have a 13.0 profile and I still have a 12.0 profile. However, the 12.0 profile looks to have been stripped of the files except for settings.xml, and now when I open ASG 2019 all my connections are gone. 2020 has no connections in it either. Any way I can get my connections back?

Thanks for any insight!

I re-created the 12.0 folder and copied the 13.0 files back in and this appears to have got my 2019 working correctly again. Now, i will export everything and import it into 2020.

Hi,
Not sure how you updated your environment and what kind of environment you use(d). Normally if you install 2020 parallel to an existing 2019 installation in the same way (file-based or SQL-environment, according to the old version) all your settings will be used. You don't have to do anything to it. Then of course the 12.0 path will remain on disk until uninstall of ASG-RD2019. Files normally won't be moved or deleted. But the settings files from 2019 should work with 2020..thats what you already tested. The settings.xml contains all your environments data including connections if you work file-based. However you can exports all settings to an rde-file and import that from 2019 to 2020..that should work also.
Hope that helps,
best regards,
Michael
