Problem with Keyboard input
#1
I'm running ASG-RemoteDesktop 2020 64bit on Windows 10 Enterprise.

Every know and then I have the issue that I'll have to close ASG because suddenly the @ Key (Alt Gr + 2) won't work anymore when I'm working otherwise.
As soon I close ASG everything is back to normal.

Strange is that it somehow only happens after a while using ASG. I'm not 100% sure but it usually recurs after having my notebook in sleep/hibernation mode.

I have reinstalled my notebook a few time for other reasons........this behavior with the suddenly non-working @ key pops up again and again though.
Keyboard Layout: Swiss German (QUERTZ)
Windows Display Language: English (United States)

Anyone else seen such behavior?

Any ideas or suggestions?

Hi Brian,
never experienced it but I seldom use the those keys so that has nothing to say ;-) But I found an interesting thread about exactly that effect on Windows 10 and in conjunction with rdp-connections. There are several ways of "solving" it , but that seems to be an old RDP-"bug" . here is the link to the external thread.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your fast feedback.

It therefore seems to be a Microsoft Bug.......I always suspected ASG to be the culprit :-)
As soon it happens again I'll give it a try and just enter <ALT+ENTER> and let you know if that does the job.

Brian

Hi all,

I can confirm that this does the job. Obviously really a Microsoft RDP Bug.
Just hit <ALT+ENTER> and the <ALT GR> does the expected job again.

Check here if you want to vote to get this issue fixed.
