Move SQL database?
#1
Hello,
I would like to move the database sat behind ASGRD 2018 to a new server.  I know how to move the db
but not how to configure ASGRD to connect to the new db.

Also, going from SQL2014 to SQL2017 - any issues there?

Thanks

Version of SQL Server should have no impact!

In ASGRD - Environment=>Environment Manager

Select "Add => Database" - "Connect to an existing database" and specify your new server/database name - if you run into permission issues first try to use an sa-Account for the connection and afterwards reconfigure the Access-User - if you backup/restore a database on different SQL instances the permissions are not working correctly afterwards

Thanks Oliver, that worked a treat.
