Assign HTML field dropdown

So i just started to play with this feature and have ran into an issue.

I have a website the has a dropdown, and while i have gotten it to see it with the field "LoginUserControl1_DomainDropDownList" i can not select the right option via this method. The website only has two options and you can not type into it. Even hitting a letter does not drop it to the correct option. If i do it by hand i have to hit the down arrow.
Any thoughts how i can automate this?

One other issue i noticed when trying to use a backslash within the content area on chromium it fills in a weird box character but if i use the same option on firefox it populates correctly. I am using version 13.0.6831.1 which i believe to be the latest version.

For the backslash issue - can you try to set "\\" instead of one backslash - I tried on some html sites and it works with double backslash - in html field one backslash is set!
