copy info from rightclick menu
#1
Hi i while ago you helped me with a RFC about passwords in cleartext that worked out great!

I have a user in my pilot group that had a few follow up requests for the handling of usernames and passwords.

When a user needs a saved password from a credential to not only open a RDP but for a service or a cron job we need to rightclick the credential, press properties and select option and show the password. now he can copy it and close the window and past it in the password box in the allready open RDP session. (like a windows service password box)

That works great. but if the user needs also the username (we have quite long service account names) he has to do it all again. all the steps.

We have two request. And if possible we would like both, but one will suffice.

1 Give us the option to enable "Copy Password" and "Copy Username" directly from the rightclick on a credential.
2 Make it possible to use the RDP session without closing the credential properties window so that we can alt tab between or use them on different screens.

Best Regards
Martin

I have the latest version 2020 Patch 5 (10.0.6833.1)
I cant copy passwords or usernames directly from rightclick, and i cant find a setting that handle that option.
(I can copy or cut the "credential object" and past it some other place in ASG but not copy the string username or password to clipboard)

Currently not planned. Does that mean "we will think about if we want that function" or "we like the suggestion we will make it happen when thers time"..

BTW. thanx for super support and good comunication between customer and developers. Modern aproach! We will defenatly prolong our subscription!

Ok and second issue - that might cause some other conflicts - so currently we do not plan to implement - it would be possible to open a lot of Property settings at the same time - and that might cause some inconsistencies

That is ok if number 1 is solved. Smile
