ASG RD 2019 Http/s Browser - New Tab not opening with FireFox/GeckoFX

Hi all,

in our Company we have ASG-RemoteDesktop 2019 (12.0.6261. 1) in use.


Unfortunately with Internet Explorer some internal Web UI's are not working well (we've noticed that already before using ASG)
So we use FireFox instead which is working normally fine.

But - With FireFox/GeckoFX in ASG RD nothing is happening when we click on a link in the UI where we normally would expect (like with Internet Explorer) a new tab to be opened.

Is there a solution for this ?

Have you installed vcredist-package? This is a requirement for using Gecko and Chromium in ASGRD... In the program help you can find the download links

Thank you for the quick response. As I don't have administrative priviliges on the host, I'll ask a colleague to check, as the Application is hosted on a Citrix farm.

But just to confirm - The MainPage is opening fine with FireFox/GeckoFX and all links which are reloading the content of the page within the same frame are also working fine. Just opening another tab. Still depending on vcredist ?

Sorry, didn't read the post carefully - so you can use Gecko but only new tabs are not working - could you try to use Chromium instead? I will try it with Gecko myself...

Ok can confirm this issue - still in version 2020 :-) So as a workaround try to use Chromium - we try to fix GeckoFX...

Unfortunately can't try Chromium, as the WebUI's we're using requires user authentication.

And with Chromium, I get an "Access Denied" without beeing asked for credentials (user / pass) right away.
