Request for improved AD Sync behavior #2
#1
Hello ASG Support,

I work for a large Corp and we often see acquisitions of smaller businesses. It always seems to happen that someone years ago created colorful nonsense Windows Active Directory OUs. I have no business authority to edit the OUs nor would I want to make that my burden to tell the business units and their Dev teams that they are wrong. I asked once or twice in the past to fix these OUs before but I was given the hint that some were hard coded into an APP and not to ask again.

When I go to Sync ASG with AD on some of the domains I get 20-50 pop up error messages that something errored. Ok, that makes sense its good that it reported this to me.

I have two domains that see alot of work with new servers being created and when I want to AD Sync, it takes 2 hours each of clicking on the ok button to get thru it.

The part that is painful for me is that the sync Pauses until I hit ok.

Can we please suppress these pop up messages to the logs and automatically continue the AD Sync?
Maybe we could color code the failed AD OU as red or add a subfolder with a label "OUSyncfailed" as part of the sync'ing process if it has an error.

This would really help me.

Thank you

Sincerely

Nid

Just goto Tools=>Settings=>Layout - and activate "Show status messages in status messages window..." - you can open the Status.Messages before - dock it to any position and see the error messages in there :-)
