ASG freezes when creating some new folders
#1
We have currently an issue where some users are not able to create new folder under a certain parent folder, that already contains other folders. When trying to do so, the application stops responding and we have to force close.
Once that specific folder is created, all users can continue creating subfolders and connections under that folder.

For those user where it is working, it takes a very long time to create the folder (more than 30s).

In both cases, creating the "level 2" subfolders is fast and shows no issue.

It seems the issue appears when trying to create folders in cases where we already have several folders created on the same level. In empty or less crowded folders, we are not experimenting this issue.

We are using ASG version 13.0.6985.1 and SQL 15.0.2000.5 with Always On High Availability.

Here is a picture which I hope explains better where we have problems:

Is there a way to test if this is an SQL performance issue (maybe related to the remote locations where we are accessing the system)?

Thank you,

Hi,

sounds a little bit strange - I don't think that the tree level is important...

First try should be running the DataOptimizer top check if there is a lot of data that can be optimized - backup your database first!

If the issue is related to many other objects on the same folder level you could run SQL Profiler - but if it is really the remote connection you will only see delays between the different sql statements but not how long it takes to send to the client.
Do you have also performance issues when refreshing the tree? Or starting the application? Then I would say it is the network performance...
