RDP Problems with Citrix Farm
#1
Hello, we have problems with connecting via RDP from ASG on our old Citrix Farm 2008 7.15 to certain windows servers which are in another domain. It works with our new Citrix Farm 2016 7.19.
But we have to use the old Farm until the end of this year, so maybe someone can help us out.
Thx

Tests: 1) Moved Christian to new Citrix -> still the same issue for him

2) Copied his AD account "Christiantest" and logged in to new Citrix –> same issue

3) Removed these AD-groups as a test for account Christiantest

ROOT-AS-Project-CB-LogOnDeny

ROOT-AS-Advantex-Admins

ROOT-RDSH-SDC-AllowRDPShadow

4) Logged in with the account Christiantest à Works

5) Added the AD groups again à still works

6) Removed profile for the testaccount Christiantest à issue is back

7) Removed AD-group: ROOT-AS-Project-CB-LogOnDeny à issue still there

8) Removed AD-group: ROOT-AS-Advantex-Admins à issue still there

9) Removed AD-group: ROOT-RDSH-SDC-AllowRDPShadow à issue still there

10) Removed all groups as in step 3 and 4 à still issue (logged on to Citrixserver DEDCLTS008)

11) Blocked Citrixserver DEDCLTS008 à logged on DEDCLTS005 à Works

12) Logged on to DEDCLTS008 à Works

13) Removed profile for the testaccount Christiantest à Works

14) Added all AD groups and removed profile à Works which is strange because it's the same as step 2….

15) Removed profile again à issue

16) Removed AD-groups ROOT-AS-Project-CB-LogOnDeny , ROOT-AS-Advantex-Admins , ROOT-RDSH-SDC-AllowRDPShadow à issue (DEDCLTS005)

17) Removed all AD-groups -> still issue (DEDCLTS005)

18) Blocked DEDCLTS005 à Still issue (DEDCLTS002)

Thursday

1) Logged in with Christiantest without changing anything from yesterday à works.....

2) Deleted profile à issue

3) Relogon à works

4) Deleted profile à works

5) Deleted profile à issue ... same steps as nr 4...

6) Relogon à works

As you can see on e.g. Wednesday nr 14 or Thursday nr 5, trying things that worked before or failed before sometimes give different results. So it looks completely random...

I really have no clue anymore.

Perhaps that helps - many users run into that issue...

One question after deleting the citrix profile it still remembers me in ASG:

I can see the last opened server and also my last used credentials are stored, so it looks like there is also info stored in the database for each user.

I don’t think this has anything to do with the issue but for testing it might be best to be able to use a “clean” profile.

Yes that helps for lokal installations, but not in the Citrix environment
