ASG 2019 Constantly Crashing on W10 VM

I have ASG RD 2019 on a Windows 10 VM version 12.0.6504.1 that constantly crashes. I've tried every available compatibility mode and yet it constantly crashes. I believe this was the last update (patch) for this version that was made avail. Yes its 2019 version but there is no way it should be constantly crashing on W10. Long shot here but does anyone have any fixes / workarounds that may help other than having to plop $$$ for the latest version?

Any more details on the crashes? When does it crash on startup, on connect to destination? Any error log?

ASG RD 2019 isn’t fully compatible with Windows 10, especially in a VM. Most crashes are usually caused by missing legacy components or VM graphics issues.

Try:

- Run the program as administrator
- Install .NET Framework 3.5
- Install older Visual C++ redistributables (2005–2010)
- Disable DEP for the ASG executable
- Check VM graphics settings (often turning 3D acceleration off helps)

If it still crashes, the only reliable workaround is running it in a Windows 7 (or older) VM.

I ran into the same issue on Windows 10. Installing the older VC++ redistributables and running it in a Windows 7 VM ended up being the most stable solution.
