browser embendded kiosk or custom

Dear Rocket,

we would need to understand if it would be possible through VisionAPP an embedded browser or kiosk that:

1. prevent the ability to open new tabs;
2. prevents the ability to change the url set in the object created on VisioAPP;
3. prevent the ability to access the browser settings;
4. prevent the ability to delete the history;

In compliance with privacy, laws and only for business application urls:
5. ability to log users used to access web systems. (Against a message telling the user that open urls and users used will be logged. Corporate scope for enhanced security and audit).

Hi Oliver,

It would be very helpful to implement what Angelo requested.
If it were easier to do, it would be useful to include an option that allows you to set an Edge engine for global use with kiosk feature, for example, with the following parameter active:

%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe

with the options:

--kiosk --edge-kiosk-type=public-browsing --kiosk-idle-timeout-minutes=0 --no-first-run --force-oneauth

This prevents users from changing the URL or navigating further from the browser by simply changing the URL in the address bar.

Hi Oliver, 

if possible both. One global with permission to set / modify the option only for Admin users. Single same thing!!

With Global option you need to set only the URL, but all brower asset will start in kiosk mode!

Hi Oliver,

I asked about the differences between the various embedded browser controls and an external browser. For example, if I try to use Chromium, Edge, Firefox/Gecko, or some consoles, such as accessing vSphere (7.x, 8.x) with HTML5, it freezes. The same goes for the Check Point GUIs for managing firewalls. I've included some screenshots.

Using external browsers, Edge, Firefox, and Chrome all work.

Most pages should work also without external browser - like vSphere - only with Java pages you can use any login mechanism

External browser are all using tab mode - and then runs into problems when trying to integrate as tab - external browsers depend on same framework (like Edge and Chromium) but are adding more functions into the browser itself
