I have just patched to 2026 Patch2 and got the following Error when using RDP (with 2025 Patch8 no Problem) >>>
Error RDP Control Not Initialized RDP Control initialization failed. Hostname: "", Port: -1, NLA: False, AuthLevel: NoAuth. Invalid port indicates property setter failures. Empty hostname indicates connection parameters are corrupt or control initialization failed. This is typically caused by: RDP ActiveX control not properly registered (check mstscax.dll) .NET & COM interop assembly incompatibility Reflection errors accessing ActiveX properties. Connection cannot proceed.

No worries! I am on Microsoft Windows 11 Enterprise 10.0.26200 and i have tried RDP to several Windows Server and Client Versions (Server2016-2025 and Windows10+11). Always the same Message.
I have tried SSH connections to several Linux distris too: Error loading property control: PluginSSHTelnet.Controls.SSHConnectionPropertiesControl Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. and to CISCO cli via SSH: this opens a dedicated Putty Window, connects correct but does not provide the credentials to the session.

RDP ist still throwing this error
Control Not Initialized RDP Control initialization failed. Hostname: "", Port: -1, NLA: False, AuthLevel: NoAuth. Invalid port indicates property setter failures. Empty hostname indicates connection parameters are corrupt or control initialization failed. This is typically caused by: 1) RDP ActiveX control not properly registered (check mstscax.dll), 2) .NET 8 COM interop assembly incompatibility, 3) Reflection errors accessing ActiveX properties. Connection cannot proceed.

Did you try "Start As Administrator" and running the RDConsoleElevated.exe?

Hey! I've started Rocket2026 elevated and unfortunately the same error.
What do you mean with the RDConsoleElevated.exe?
16-07-2026, 03:00 PM
There is a second shortcut in your menu - this is starting the RDConsoleElevated.exe file - but it should be the same like if you run it as adminstrator

Can you tell us more about your environments? Local installation or published application? Win11 as client? Any special config? We still can't reproduce and some details are really difficult to understand? Why is it working in file mode and not in database mode? There is no difference in RDP plugin?!? All other components are working? Test app is also working - we would really like to solve that issue but currently no ideas how to go on...

Hi, this is a local installation on Windows 11. It currently works fine on the latest version of 2025. We are using some CIS benchmarks for security in our Group policies that are applied to our devices.
