[SOLVED] "Search" box to find connection
#1
I currently have over 80 servers in my connections list. I have categorized them into smaller groups as best as I can bu I sometimes have problems locating a particular server even using type-ahead-find.

It might be nice to have a small "search" field in the navigation pane to find connection entries for users that have hundreds of remotes.

Ideally as the user started to type the connection name the results would be filtered below. So I might start to type "w" and all the connections that started with the letter w would show up, if I typed "we", all the servers that start with "we" would show up etc.

Thanks

Hi Brad,

This sound similar to the search function which is already available in vRD 2010 R2. Do you know that?

Perfect! That's just what I was looking for. I just didn't realize it was there!

Thanks again,

Actually there is one little issue - in the search results if you right click on an item not all of the same context menu items are available.

For instance if I right click on a connection in the navigation pane I can go to "Connect As" -> user.

If I right click on a connection in the "find" pane I just get "connect" no ability to specify the user.

Thanks
