Custom variables for external applications
#1
Hi,

I was wondering if it would be possible to have a feature where you can create custom variables for external applications? For example I have a server connection that I want to access internally and externally - internally there is a domain password to log onto the server but externally from the network I have a seperate password to log onto the server via TeamViewer. In this situation I cannot automate the use of TeamViewer as an external application as the %username% and %password% variables are already used for the RDP connection, so TeamViewer will always show an error.

I am sure that this would also be useful in other situations, where more than one credential is used on a device and you want the password or other custom information to be available?

Many Thanks.

We use Teamviewer as the default remote connection and have matching credentials set on folders. However when we need a different protocol, the credentials are of course wrong.

There should be a way to specify credentials according to which ext app/protocol you use?

Example: You have a connection set up with Teamviewer as the default protocol (external app) and credentials are set to match Teamviewer auth. If you then want to run a different external app (like cmd) by right clicking the connection, it does not work due to wrong credentials (Teamviewer)...

Thor
