It would be nice to be able to Import from multiple Active Directories, not only from the AD you are located in or you have a trust relationship with. This might even be a separate application executed in the foreign domain.
The communication could be either or both directly to the SQL or through .vre or .csv file.
In the AD Import selection there is now only possible to filter by Computer name suffix (that does not work anyway, or I don't understand how it's supposed to work), this should at least also include Servers v.s. Workstations. It would also be quicker to just get all computers in a sort able list where you can select what servers to import rather that browsing through OU’s looking for Servers. The information in this list should include Host name, OU, Creation date, Modification date and the Description. Optionally the OU structure could be reproduced as folders in vRD.
I have actually created a VBScript that exports all Servers in a domain to .csv file to import in vRD but there are very few options in the .csv import file like missing Description field etc. for this to be a ideal solution but this script helps me a lot.
