When trying to attach security roles on objects using the "object authorization" window the view is not "tree" like as in Remote Desktop but rather a "flat" view with all objects in a list.
This makes it difficult, if not impossible, to grant the right permissions on the correct folder when using the same folder structure for each customer.
for example;
-
|-customer1
|------>domain controllers
|------>print servers
|------>file servers
|
|-customer2
|------>domain controllers
|------>print servers
|------>file servers
This would show up in "object authorizations" as a list;
-domain controllers
-domain controllers
-print servers
-print servers
-file servers
-file servers
Please view the attached screenshot on how this show up under object authorizations. Renaming all folders to include customer names would be a temp. solutions but we rather not go and change a few thousand objects as a workaround. A tree view within "object authorization" appears to be the most elegant solution IMHO.
