Currently, I cannot paste an IP addresses with a accidental leading/trailing space in the Computer Name field. When I copy an IP address from a mail or document, it is quite common to accidentally take a leading/trailing space with the copy/paste command. At the moment I cannot paste the IP as it not allowed by vRD to paste an invalid computer name or IP. I now need to go back to the source, do the copy command again and in some cases (webpage) need to paste the IP in a temporary notepad and correct it there and then paste it again in vRD.
I understand the reason for this as you want to prevent any invalid computername of IP address to be entered in that field, but I wondered if the restriction could be handled a bit differently. What I would like to have is to be able to paste the IP and put a red asterisk at the end of the field to indicate that the IP or computername needs to be corrected first before leaving the field.
