we do not have an approval by our QA team until today. There are some known issues and bugs for the current version - so we decided to publish a public Release Candidate version.
This version will be supported by this forum - upgrade to final RTM version will be supported if possible (if data is getting corrupt during RC we can't guarantee to fix it).
The following ReleaseNotes describes the known (main) issues - we try to fix all the issues as soon as possible.
If you want to migrate your data from 2012 version you can do inside a new environment in 2014 - so you could not connect to an old environment (as in the past) - you need to create a new environment and select "Environment=>Upgrade from 2012".
Yes you can - program files can be installed to another directory (by default) - and the data will be transferred/migrated to a new 2014 database - old data will not be affected.
No problem - create a new one - one user will start the "migration" (Environment=>Upgrade from 2012) - the data will be read from your old database and will be transferred to the new one - your 2012 database can be used afterwards with 2012 clients...
Every time i run the migration wizard in too the new database and then close the app after word, i cant login any more to the app..
This is the 3rd time i tried, if i drop the DB and do it from scratch i can migrate the info from 2012 enviroment when its done i can look around.
But then if i close the app and try to start it again nothing happens if we press login...

Hello,
When I try and import from AD I can't select the root of the domain, the OK button remains greyed out. It will only allow me to select individual servers.
I've work out you need to add in additional roles of credentials and synchronization.
@mccallman: The “Environment|Import|Import from AD” feature is limited to one folder/OU at a time. But there is an AD Sync feature that can import and sync multiple computers from different folders/OU, to use it open the properties of the “Connections” or a Connections folder object, add the role “Active Directory” and the configure the AD connection and start the sync
@ehl-kpr: looks like your user has no permissions after the miration. Can you have a look into “Tools |Security Groups” in 2012 and also in 2014 directly after the migration and before you logoff/login again…. are the permission identical or is something missing? Maybe you send us some screenshots.
When I try to configure a new environment the application crashes with the follow 2 errors in the event log
1.
Application: ASGRD.exe
Framework Version: v4.0.30319
Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.

Okay i found the issue, when iam finished with the migration from 2012 i have to disable ACTIVATE USER PERMISSIONS, if i dont do this i cant login anymore. All users is there with all Groups but it dont work. my user account is admin but i still cant login in if i use user permissions.
And our whole enviroment is based on this so please HELP US
What kind of user you are using? Domain users? Internal Username/Password? Is a domain group assigned to Administrators or your domain account? We tested really often migration with activated permissions and did't get this error...
Kristoffer, it's planned to update current version until friday...
But at the moment we do not know why it is not working for you. Need some more info. You asjed where to put some screenshots? You can attach it here in the forum (do not use QuickReply => only shown in "New Reply") - perhaps I can see something
