I have created an Access ASG group which enables lots of admins to access ASG and is set in the root folder.
I wish to setup folders with network connections. These network connections should only be visible to the network team. However I cannot remove the Access ASG group from the inheritance (the remove button is grey) and therefore cannot restrict access to the network connections.
There are 3 buttons at the top - the colored button is the active data you use - and its inherited data - if you want to change the security choose "Default values" - there you can edit the data!
Hi Oliver,
This is still not working for me.
Under the default values I have added a security group which has a n AD network group assigned to it.
However when I log in as a non-member of the network group I can still see the connection and access them. Under the inherited values tab the access to ASG group still appears to have access which I don’t want it to.
If you click on "Security => Default Values" - these values will be saved - and can't be removed with the current version... And there is a logic "if default values, then use default values"
But if you define all your security in "Default values" it should work - you did activate permissions, you have created a second group and assigned a user/group from AD - if you then login to ASG-RD with no permissions set to this group the user should only see an empty application... then you should set first permssions on root level...
I fixed the issue I found but I have to check 2 other issues first before updating the binaries - tomorrow or monday I will publish new binaries
