ASG 2015 Portable - License issue

I am using the portable version of ASG 2015 RTE (8.0.4706.1) and a .xml license file for ASG 2012 (purchased in June 2014).

When I go to the menu to enter the license file (“About >> Import new licence file”), ASG 2015 shows that the license was imported correctly/successfully and the program needs to be restarted.

ASG 2015 is then restarted but I am still running on an evaluation version.

Please advice.

Hi There,

I found that most of the licensing problems can be solved by running everything elevated. Once all the licensing is complete then you can run it in standard mode without any problems.

@BCN_IT: You should import your license in "standard mode" - not in portable - after importing the license you can create a new portable version...

@MelwayMan: I always run ASG with elevated permissions. that does not solve the issue

@DevOma: That is not an option for us. We do not have admin rights on our workstation, so we create a portable app and get it distributed among the team. If I enter the license in the standard version and then make it portable, everybody will be using one license.
This used to work on ASG 2012.
