Cannot delete connection in root of Navigation pane
#1
Hello,

I somehow managed to get a connection in the root of my ASG RemoteDesktop 2015 navigation pane (on the left hand side). The entry isn't part of the regular "Connections" menu but just sits at the bottom (below Credentials, Connections, Ext Applications menus). See attached for what it looks like.

In can use/edit the connection just like my other connections but I cannot move/delete the connection.

I first noticed it a couple of versions ago but today (2015 Patch6) it's still there and I still cannot get rid of it. Any ideas on this? Or am I overlooking something here?

Thanks very much; regards,
Ook

Yes, I have that too in one environment - its the quickconnect item - should not appear in treeview but somehow it does :-) Please ignore will be fixed with next version...

OK cool - thanks for the update. I'll just stare at it until the next version is here. Did notice that during an export, I can untick this one connection as well so will do a clean export/import if it really needs to go! Cheers,

Can you please go into the properties of this connection and give me the ID - it should be 77777777-7777-777.... or is it another Guid/Id?

Sorry, missed your message earlier! The ID is:
77777777-7777-7777-7777-777777777777

I just upgraded to Patch 7 today but unfortunately the entry is still there and still can't be deleted - it's now hovering below the new "Favorites" menu. Any ideas on how to get rid of it? Thanks!

Hi,

I'm in file mode so not using any SQL DB. Updated to Patch 8 today and still have the entry visible (and still cannot delete it). Any idea? Thanks; regards,

Can you send me your Settings file? asg.rd@asg.com and please add a link to this thread...

If you use a pasword protection for your file please add the Password - if you want to change your password first or want to delete creds make a copy of your file and edit it like you want...
