Reading connection information from DB

In the VisionApp 2012 we had the ability to read server names and different attributes directly from the DB. This helped my team by allowing us to read all servers that were under a certain folder, so we could write scripts to perform actions on all these machines.

It looks like in ASG-RD 2015 that reading from the DB is no longer a possibility due to encrypting/hashing many of the values I need.

What is the supported method for reading connection information from the DB?

For end of Q1/2016 the next main release is planned - and it will have a Powershell-API to read/write against the database/file
